Travis Southworth-Neumeyer
Travis Southworth-Neumeyer is current the Chief Operating Officer for Trackers Earth Inc. Trackers provides innovative education in authentic outdoor skills through camps and outdoor programs for all ages. Travis has led and directed outdoor and education programs for over 18 years. Prior to joining the Trackers, he ran the Mount St. Helens Institute. Before that, Travis worked with Trackers as a consultant focusing on programming, and with non-profits on grant design and grant management. Travis was the Director of Outdoor Science Education and Classes at the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry for 6 years. He has served a Peace Corps Volunteer in southern Africa, teaching young people life science and agriculture in English-as-a-second-language environments. Travis has worked as a classroom science teacher and an outdoor adventure guide leading backpacking, snowshoeing, rafting and sea kayaking trips, including wilderness therapy trips with feisty and amazing teenagers. Travis has an undergraduate Biology degree from Lewis and Clark College and a Master’s in Education Leadership with a focus on sustainability education and outdoor program management from Portland State University.
