The Bones of Badger Hole
Designed for 6th-grade girls, the Bones of Badger Hole Field School welcomed 14 eager participants from a nearby middle school. While the Time Team America crew focused on excavating the Badger Hole site, Field School Director Dr. Alexandra Jones engaged the students with what archaeology is all about. Over the course of the five-day program the girls conducted a mock excavations, tried out scientific illustration, learned how to analyze soil, and more. Highlights included a visit to the Badger Hole site, throwing atlatls with the team's geophysics expert Meg Watters, and a bison barbecue.
